Resumes of Fowler & Hammer's Team Leaders James Fowler, P.E., LEED AP, President, Principal, was awarded a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He has been Project Manager/Chief Estimator since 1982.
As an engineer, Jim cuts to the heart of every matter. He is genuine and sincere and never promises more than he can deliver. Jim lives the "Golden Rule" and truly leads by example with a tremendous work ethic, ability to focus, honesty and fairness. He is readily accessible to both customers and crews.
Susan Christopherson, Secretary/Treasurer, Principal, was awarded a BS in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She has been Corporate Secretary/Office Manager since 1981.
As the working mother of eight children, Susan has become adept at trouble-shooting and crisis management. She is proud of the company her dad founded and the customer relationships they have cultivated. Fowler and Hammer is a true family business in that their employees feel this is their home. They enjoy our work and meeting new challenges.
Bradley Lossen, Vice-President Construction Management,
was awarded a BS in Industrial Arts from Winona State University. He has been Project Manager/Estimator with Fowler and Hammer since 1988.
Brad was born wearing a tool belt. He is Fowler and Hammer's "Tim Allen." He has this incredible feel for the mechanics of construction and a passion for explaining the intricacies of building systems.
Brad is experienced in all facets of construction from the field to the office. He worked directly with the State Department of Revenue to develop contract language allowing tax exempt purchases under a Guaranteed Maximum Price contract. Not many project managers would take on that challenge.
Christopher Huston, Vice-President Design-Build, was awarded a BS in Construction from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He has been Project Manager/Estimator with Fowler and Hammer since 1991.
Chris is the free spirit at Fowler and Hammer who loves to put his creativity and design talents to work on design-build projects. He has a flair for addressing a customer's needs with a unique yet cost-effective solution. His infectious laugh and zest for life make partnering with Chris a truly enjoyable experience. His enthusiastic attitude is contagious so his projects really rock and roll.
Dean Bodensteiner, Project
Manager/Estimator, has been with Fowler and Hammer, Inc. for eight years as Project Manager and Safety Director. He was awarded a BS in Construction Management from the University of Northern Iowa - Cedar Falls. Dean is proficient in Timberline Precision Estimating and Primavera Expedition Project Management software. He has completed the AGC Safety Director Course and has advanced certifications in Safety Training.
Mark Martell, Project
Manager/Estimator, has 28 years of construction experience with Fowler and Hammer, Inc. He has 12 years experience as a laborer and seven years as a Carpenter, Millwright, Certified Welder, and Foreman. Mark's strong work ethics combined with his experience in the field and his extensive knowledge of the newest technology and software programs has made Mark one of Fowler and Hammer's top Project Managers.
Larry "Ike" Frommelt, Project Manager/Estimator, has 5 years experience as a estimator and project manager with Fowler and Hammer, Inc. for a total of 30 years of construction experience. Ike has 13 years experience with Fowler and Hammer, Inc. with the past 6 years as a Project Superintendent. Ike enjoys the challenges of being a Project Manager and Estimator. Ike even has his private pilot's license and owns his own airplane.
Eric Lehmann, Project Manger/Estimator, although this is Eric's second year as estimator and project manager with Fowler and Hammer, Inc. Eric has spent the past three summers as an intern for Fowler and Hammer, Inc. Eric recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin -Stout with a B.S. in Construction Management. In his free time Eric likes to go snowmobiling, deer hunting, and turkey hunting. Eric recently got married to his high school sweetheart, Abbey. We're excited to have Eric on our team!
Tony Reyerson, Project Manger/Estimator, Tony is a long time employee of Fowler & Hammer and now joins our team as a Project Manager and Estimator. Tony has worked as a mason and mason foremen in Cedar Rapids, IA until 2003 when he moved to La Crosse and joined our team of highly skilled masons. In 2005 he served as Safety Director for the company, and in 2006 joined us as an Assistant Project Manager. Tony has extensive training in safety and holds many certifications. Tony and his wife have two children. They enjoy being out on the river during the summer, and in the fall Tony likes to go pheasant hunting with his dog, Gauge, and going back home to northeast Iowa to hunt big bucks!
Jon Danielson, Project Manger/Estimator, Jon began his career at Fowler & Hammer as an intern in the spring of 2008 and joined us full-time in August as a Project Manager and Estimator. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stout with a BS in Construction Management. Jon was born and raised in Viroqua, in his free time he enjoys canoeing, fishing, hunting, and watching movies with his wife. Jon has been working on several LEED projects and plans to become a LEED Accredited Professional in the near future.
Chris Towle, Safety Director, Chris joins us with a background in construction, he spent the past ten years working for a construction equipment & supply company. He recently completed the Safety Management Course through the Association of General Contractors (AGC). Chris also has certifications in OSHA's 10-Hour, 30-Hour, and 500-Hour construction safety courses. Chris is a 1993 graduate of Tomahawk High School and attended Huron University and the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. He and his wife have three children with whom he enjoys spending time.
Matt Strub, General Superintendent, this is Matt's third year as director of personnel with Fowler and Hammer, Inc. Matt has 19 years of experience in the construction industry. The past 8 of those years have been spent as Project Superintendent with Fowler and Hammer, Inc. Matt also has additional experience as a Carpenter.
Dan Graham, Business Manager, Dan has over 13 years of experience in sales and marketing. He received his Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1998 in both Finance and Marketing. Dan is an active member of the Downtown La Crosse Rotary Club, on the Board of Directors for the Labor Management Council of Western Wisconsin, on the Board of Directors for the Myrick-Hixon Eco Park, a member of the L-Club at UW-L, on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the La Crosse Rotary Foundation, and on the Board of Directors and Treasurer for the Construction Professionals Association, Inc. Dan focuses on assessing clients' construction needs and uncovering resourceful ways of fulfilling those needs in a financially responsible manner.
