The La Crosse district’s board of education approved $1.4 million in athletic projects at Monday night’s meeting.
Joe Ledvina, supervisor of buildings and grounds for the district, presented eight bids for the projects for board approval. The winning bid came from Fowler & Hammer, Inc. of La Crosse. Fowler & Hammer’s was the lowest of the eight bids for the capital maintenance and improvement projects, with other companies’ bids coming in between $1.4 million and $1.7 million.
The district is looking to install an artificial turf football field and resurface the track in the Logan High School athletic complex as well as move the shot put area and renovate the high school’s softball field and dugouts.
