Fowler & Hammer recently completed a new addition to the Chart Industries Brazed Aluminum Heat Exchanger headquarters in La Crosse, WI. The expansion doubled the engineering space and increased the plant’s manufacturing capacity by 40%. A special feature of the project was the construction of a High Pressure Test room containing over 400 tons of rebar and 4′ thick concrete walls—all in a 3,900 square foot room. The project was completed safely, on-time (from ground breaking to ribbon cutting in just over 12 months), on-budget, and with no interruption to operations at the plant.
State and local dignitaries joined Chart and Fowler & Hammer staff for a ribbon-cutting ceremony held to formally dedicate the plant expansion.
